Christmas and Advent Theme Overview: We decorate in preparation for Christmas. In November and December, people spend hours putting up lights in their living space and ornaments on their evergreens. Poinsettias are placed on the mantel, presents are put under the tree, and we “deck the halls with boughs of holly.” These Christmas decorations bring enjoyment and anticipation to the holiday. Advent is the church’s season of preparation for Christmas, for the coming of the Lord. This Advent season, as part of our preparation, we will reflect upon three common Christmas decorations and how they help us see Christ and prepare for His coming: evergreens, lights, and the crèche. Then, on Christmas, we will focus on the wrapped presents, which point us to the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ.
Each and every Worship Service is broadcast live and posted on YouTube.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14, ESV)

Christmas is about the eternal Word of God, God’s Son, taking on human flesh for our salvation.
God the Father created the world through His Son. When the world fell into darkness on account of human sin, He sent that same Son to redeem the world. By the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born to a woman named Mary, 2000 years ago.
He lived a perfect life, the life we have not lived on account of our sins. Yet, he suffered the consequences of sin through His death. That suffering was in our stead.
All who believe in Him have eternal life. We share in the merits of His righteous life because He shared with us in the consequences of our sin.
That’s the message we celebrate at Christmas.
You can expect a warm welcome, reverent and relevant worship, and Christ-focused, biblical teaching at Trinity Lutheran Church.
You will arrive at Trinity in our narthex – a room outside of our worship area (sanctuary.) Our worship services and fellowship events are held upstairs in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. Our children, youth, and other small group events are usually held downstairs in our Office, Library, and classroom area.
If you are here for a worship service, an usher will hand you a bulletin, and you can find a seat in whatever pew you like. Our pastor will also often greet you before the service.
Our worship services are about an hour long. You will find them to be reverent but also relevant to life in this world.
